Provide the resources, information, and training needed to carry out your duties with confidence.
Give you space to share your talents, skills, and expertise for the organization's good.
Be respectful of your time — always.
Provide staff support for special events and activities you're involved in.
Keep you updated on Project Helping news, programs, and progress.
Provide timely access to any documents — historical, financial, or marketing — upon request.
What we ask of you
Expectations for all board members (both boards)
Attend 80% or more of all board meetings (every other month, ~90 minutes each).
Dedicate 1–5 hours of service per month on average.
Participate in at least one working group per year.
Make a personally significant monetary donation each year you serve.
Secure additional donations or sponsorships as part of the Give & Get policy.
Attend our spring and fall fundraising events, and encourage your network to as well.
Serve as a passionate advocate for Project Helping's mission, staff, and programming.
