We believe that everyone should have tools to build their mental well-being, and volunteerism is one of the best tools available. We provide meaningful, social, and accessible volunteer experiences to do just that – to build the mental well-being of the volunteer, no matter where your mental wellness is currently. We ask that you participate in our volunteer experiences with an awareness of the positive impact these events have on your mental wellness.
We make it easy for you to complete your required volunteer hours. In exchange, we have two favors to ask.
For us to continue to do our meaningful work, we need to collect stories from our volunteers. So we would ask for a short testimonial of your experience. Second, because our funders require us to track demographics, we ask that you fill out that portion during registration.
If you’re willing to help us with these 2 things, we are happy to be able to help you!
Because our events are open to everyone, we will not make special exceptions for you to join events. When all the spots are full, you are welcome to join the waitlist. As spots become available, you will receive an invitation to join the event in order of the waitlist.
If you are not able to make it to an event, please cancel at least 48 hours before the event. We have a long wait list for most events and want to be able to release open spots to interested volunteers when possible.
If you don’t show up for the events you’ve signed up for, or don’t give proper cancellation notice, we will not provide confirmation of any of your volunteer hours. This is our compromise in assuring the volunteer spots that are available are being put to good use.
We understand things happen and we want you to have the best experience possible, so just let us know if you can’t make it.
We will provide you with amazing volunteer experiences at a variety of times, locations, and causes and timely confirmation of your volunteer hours. In return, you will help us by providing a short testimonial about how volunteerism made you feel and give us some basic demographics info. You agree to show up when you sign up…it’s pretty much that simple.
You keep track of your volunteer hours. Please track them in this format:
The date of the volunteer experience, the time, and the type of volunteer experience.
When you have completed your hours, please email Audrey Damico at [email protected] your completed hours in the format listed in Step 1.
Once we receive your hours we will verify them and write you a confirmation letter, which we will send via email. Please give 24 hours for a letter to be sent.
