We will post all pertinent event updates, cancellations, and postponements related to the COVID-19 virus here.

We are holding much smaller group sizes for all volunteer experiences. Group sizes will not exceed 10.

Social distancing is being strictly monitored and enforced.

Masks are required to be worn at ALL times- inside and outside.

Tools that are being used (gardening tools, cooking utensils, scissors for blanket making, etc) are sanitized before and after each use.

If you do not feel comfortable inside, we have plenty of outdoor volunteer experiences that you can sign up for!

We are reaching out to the Project Helping community to address how coronavirus may impact our events, as well as provide tips on ways to minimize the risk of infection.

The health and wellness of our volunteers, staff, and community is our highest priority. We are closely monitoring information from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) regarding the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Project Helping’s Current Stance:

We will continue to host volunteer experiences with our nonprofit partners that are still open and accepting volunteers. In the case our nonprofit partner cancels, we will do the same. We will communicate cancellations through email and text as they occur as well as update our list of events in KyndHub.

Please be assured that our nonprofit partners have enhanced facility cleaning procedures to protect staff and volunteers, and have guidelines in place to reduce the risk of infection.

As precautionary guidelines please follow the following protocol:

Stay home if you don’t feel well or someone you live with doesn’t feel well. Please practice good hygiene:

  • No handshakes
  • Wash hands thoroughly and frequently, or use hand sanitizer
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of your elbow

If you return from international travel from February 20 onward, we ask that you refrain from volunteering with Project Helping for two weeks following your return regardless of your health.

If you need to cancel involvement in an upcoming volunteer event we completely understand! Please email volunteer@projecthelping.org to allow us time to update our nonprofit partners as needed.
