Know the Signs:

Could you or someone you know be living with depression?Depression is a major risk factor for suicide. Observe carefully – sometimes even seemingly small changes in behavior can be indicative of a deeper struggle. Though depression looks a little different for everyone, these are common signs of depression:

 

  • Feelings of helplessness or hopelessness
  • Loss of interest in daily activities
  • Appetite or weight changes
  • Changes in sleeping habits
  • Loss of energy
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Overwhelming or uncontrollable negative thoughts
  • Anger or irritability
  • Self-loathing
  • Reckless behavior
