Dr. Ali Trachtman Hill is a business leader, Sociologist, emotional intelligence ambassador, and mom. Over the past two decades, she has run nonprofit organizations and private businesses, as well as designed, written, and delivered curricula, workshops, and trainings in the private and public sectors.
Dr. Hill is nationally recognized as a passionate advocate for girls and women. A sought-after speaker, her unique style combines her academic scholarship in gender and culture studies with her years of service in nonprofit organizations and private companies to produce presentations and programming that address the complex and ever-changing realities of being a human in our global society.
Dr. Hill is the Managing Partner of Sound Advice Consulting Services, a consultancy she and her husband founded in 2007. Within Sound Advice, Dr. Hill created Sound Advice Women for entrepreneurs and founders. Through this line of business, Dr. Hill helps her clients build and grow business infrastructure, design effective processes, understand and use data to meet business outcomes, raise money, and increase emotional intelligence, with an emphasis on leadership and management training.
Dr. Hill graduated from Tufts University with a BA (magna cum laude) in Spanish and Women’s Studies. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, with a concentration in Non-Profit Business Management. She earned a PhD in Sociology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY). She lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband, two children, dog, and turtle.
