Financial Literacy

Classic Kynd Kit

Gratitude Practice

Let's start by taking a moment to practice gratitude.
  • Who is a teacher or mentor you are grateful for?

  • What is something good that happened to you this week that you are grateful for?

The Recipient

The completed Financial Literacy kits will be delivered to Boys and Girls Clubs of America to benefit their Money Matters program.
Young adults in the U.S. today are facing a perfect storm of personal and social pressures that can compromise their financial well-being: record lows in savings, record highs in student and consumer debt increasing living costs, and uncertain employment prospects. Money Matters helps young people learn financial literacy, so they can make good financial choices as adults. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, save and invest, start small businesses, and pay for college. Teens who complete Money Matters show improved financial management skills, including saving money and sticking to a budget.

The Reason

Use the contents of this kit to build a financial literacy kit for an elementary-age student. Building financial literacy and awareness early can help to create good financial habits for life.

Unpack the Box

  • Take everything out of the box.
  • Lay everything out so you can find what you need to build the kit.

Create Your Kynd Code

Please follow the instructions on this card to create your own Kynd Code. This Kynd Code will be included in the final kit.

*Make note of your Kynd Code. You will use this code at the end of the project.

Find the Kynd Card
