Write a Note to the Recipient and Decorate the Envelope

Use the enclosed materials to write a card and decorate the envelope. Express your encouragement and include a hopeful message. 

Decorate the Plastic Bag

Decorate the plastic bag. This is what the final kit is distributed in, make this fun and colorful for the recipient to open. 

Decorate the Canvas Bag

Use the permanent markers to decorate the canvas bag. Tip: Place a piece of paper in the bag before decorating to prevent the markers from bleeding through. 

Pack the Kit

  • Pack all of the materials into the decorated plastic bag and cosmetic bag.
  • Please only include items that are UNOPENED and UNUSED
  • Add any optional items you would like.
  • Socks
  • Sanitary items
  • Sunscreen 
  • Sunglasses
  • Water bottle 
  • Protein rich snacks

Items not to include:

  • Perishable items
  • Sharp objects
  • Nut food products
  • Religious or political items

Delivery Options

*If your kit has a prepaid return label, apply that label to the outside of the box and send it back to Project Helping for distribution. 

Distribution options if your kit does not have a prepaid return label. 

1. Put the completed kit in your car, or take it with you when you go out. When you see someone in need, give them your care package.
 
OR
 
2. Bring your completed kit to any local homeless shelter.
 
These are just two examples of how to give your completed Kynd Kit out. Be creative in distributing your kit.
