Project Helping is proud to offer a wide variety of meaningful, social, and accessible volunteer experiences. This makes fulfilling your required community service hours incredibly convenient. We are happy to provide the needed confirmation and documentation for your hours, regardless of why you need to do them. To make sure everything goes smoothly, here are our expectations.
VOLUNTEER HOURS CONFIRMATION
Understanding Our Mission
We believe that everyone should have tools to build their mental well-being, and volunteerism is one of the best tools available. We provide meaningful, social, and accessible volunteer experiences to do just that – to build the mental well-being of the volunteer, no matter where your mental wellness is currently. We ask that you participate in our volunteer experiences with an awareness of the positive impact these events have on your mental wellness.
Getting Hours Confirmation
We have a very simple system for you to get your hours confirmation letter. You can come back to this page after you have volunteered and enter your hours in the form below. We want to make it easy to volunteer and to get the confirmation you need. We will review your hours and then send you a confirmation letter within one day. It’s that easy!
How You Can Help
We make it easy for you to complete your required volunteer hours. In exchange, we have two favors to ask. For us to continue to do our meaningful work, we need to collect stories from our volunteers. Also, because our funders require us to track demographics, we need to ask you for that, too.
If you’re willing to help us with these 2 things, we are happy to be able to help you!
A Few More Things
Because our events are open to everyone, we will not make special exceptions for you to join events. When all the spots are full, you are welcome to join the waitlist. As spots become available, you will receive an invitation to join the event after anyone ahead of you on the waitlist.
If you are not able to make it to an event, please cancel at least 3 days before. We have a long wait list for most events and want to be able to release open spots to the waitlist when possible.
If you don’t show up for the events you’ve signed up for, or don’t give proper cancellation notice, we will not provide confirmation of any of your volunteer hours. This is our compromise in assuring the volunteer spots that are available are being put to good use.
We understand things happen and we want you to have the best experience possible, so just let us know if you can’t make it.
To recap: we will provide you with amazing volunteer experiences at a variety of times, locations, and causes and timely confirmation of your volunteer hours. In return, you will help us by providing a short testimonial about how volunteerism made you feel and give us some basic demographics info. You agree to show up when you sign up…it’s pretty much that simple.
