Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the only US federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all individuals to volunteer to improve their communities. Some of the ways people commemorate the day include delivering meals, refurbishing schools and community centers, collecting food and clothing, and addressing pressing community needs. The Illumina Corporate Foundation has sponsored 200 Kynd Kits for Illumina employees to assemble. The kit will be delivered directly to your home and includes items designed to empower women. After you complete your kit, please send it back with the included label and it will be donated.
