In-Office Volunteer Projects That Actually Energize Your Team

No venue sourcing. No supply runs. No nonprofit coordination. Kynd Kits deliver everything your team needs for a high-energy, hands-on volunteer experience directly to your office — and a dedicated program manager handles every detail before, during, and after.

Kynd Kits are volunteer projects in a box. Your team assembles meaningful care packages, comfort kits, and support items by hand — right in your office, conference room, or event space. Every completed kit is donated free to a vetted nonprofit partner and reaches a real person in your community.

The Problem With Most In-Office Events

Why most in-office volunteer projects never happen

The idea is always good. Someone in HR or on the events team suggests a volunteer day, everyone loves it — and then the planning starts. Which nonprofit do we partner with? Where do we get supplies? Who coordinates drop-off? How do we run it for 200 people?

Most in-office volunteer projects die in the logistics. Not because the team doesn't care, but because pulling one together from scratch is genuinely complicated — and most people doing it are already doing three other jobs.

Kynd Kits were designed to eliminate every one of those friction points. Everything ships directly to your office. A dedicated program manager handles nonprofit coordination, facilitator guides, branded materials, and post-event impact reporting. Your team's one job is to show up and build.

How It Works

What happens when your team builds together

Picture your conference room, your lobby, your event space — tables set with kit materials, your team gathered around them, building something real for someone who needs it.

Before the Event
Kits arrive at your office fully stocked. Your program manager provides a facilitator guide, intro script, and all branded materials. Setup takes under 30 minutes and requires no special equipment.
The Kickoff
Your event host opens with a brief introduction to who the kits are going to and why it matters. That 5-minute moment is what separates a box-assembly exercise from a volunteer experience your team actually feels.
The Build
Employees open their kits and get to work. Builds typically run 45–90 minutes. The Kit X assembly-line format lets larger groups build multiple kits in sequence — high energy, high output.
The Send-Off
Completed kits are boxed up and your program manager coordinates donation to a vetted nonprofit partner. Employees receive a unique serial number to track their kit through KyndHub.
Featured Format

Meet Kit X — the in-office format built for any group size

Kit X is our assembly-line format, purpose-built for in-person corporate events. Instead of each employee building one kit individually, teams set up stations — each responsible for one step of the build — and rotate through. The result is a high-energy, collaborative experience that scales effortlessly from 20 to 1,000+ employees.

High Energy in the Room
The assembly-line format creates natural momentum and friendly competition between stations. Employees are moving, talking, and working together in a way that a seated individual-build format simply doesn't generate.
Maximum Output
Because each station specializes in one step, Kit X events produce significantly more completed kits per hour than individual builds. More kits built means more people helped — and a bigger impact number for your post-event report.
Scales to Any Group
Whether you're running a 15-person department event or a 900-person company kickoff, Kit X adapts. Your program manager helps design the station layout, staffing, and flow before the event.

Kit X is available in all cause areas — mental health, youth education, housing, environment, animal welfare, and more.

The Impact

One in-office event. Five layers of real impact.

01
Your employees feel it
Research from the Mayo Clinic shows that volunteering is linked to improved mental health and lower stress levels. Building something by hand for someone in need activates that response in a way that a trivia night or team lunch cannot. Your employees leave the event feeling better — and that feeling is tied to your company.
02
Your team connects differently
Working side by side toward a shared, meaningful goal creates bonds that scheduled team building rarely achieves. The in-person environment amplifies it — the energy in the room when a group is building together is something remote formats can approximate but never fully replicate.
03
A real person receives something real
The care package, comfort kit, or support item your team assembles reaches a real person — someone experiencing homelessness, a teenager in a mental health program, a child in foster care — through a vetted nonprofit partner. Something handmade, by people who cared enough to spend their afternoon on it.
04
A nonprofit gets exactly what it needs
Every Kynd Kit is designed around open, documented needs from our nonprofit partner network. Your team isn't building surplus — they're filling a specific gap that a real organization communicated to us. That specificity is what makes Kynd Kits land differently than a generic donation.
05
Your company gets the proof
Volunteer hours. Kits built. Causes supported. Nonprofit partners served. Every in-office event includes a full impact report — formatted for ESG reporting and internal communication — delivered after the event by your program manager.

All-Hands
In-Office Moments

The in-office moments Kynd Kits were made for

All-Hands & Company Kickoffs
Give your all-hands a moment that isn't just slides and announcements. A Kynd Kit build adds energy, purpose, and a shared experience that ties back to your company values — and gives every employee something to tell their friends about when they get home.
Department & Team Events
Replace the team lunch or the happy hour with something your team actually remembers. Kynd Kit builds work for groups of any size and require no special space beyond what you already have.
Company Retreats & Offsites
Add a Kynd Kit build to your next offsite as the volunteer anchor of the agenda. It breaks up the day, gives the retreat a meaningful dimension, and sends employees home with a sense of purpose that carries past Sunday night.
New Employee Onboarding
Set the tone for new hires from day one. A Kynd Kit build during onboarding week communicates your company values through action — not a slide about company values — and gives new employees an immediate, tangible connection to your culture.

Make your in-office event go further with Dollars-for-Doers + VTO

Kynd Kit build time typically qualifies for Dollars-for-Doers programs and company Volunteer Time Off policies — which means your in-office event can generate additional charitable contributions on top of the kit purchase itself. We provide all documentation needed for employee submissions. Ask your program manager to include it in your event materials so employees can submit their hours immediately after the event while the experience is still fresh.

"I've planned a lot of company events. Kynd Kits was the easiest thing I've ever organized and the most impactful thing we've ever done. Setup was simple, the team was fully engaged the entire time, and people were genuinely emotional when we talked about where the kits were going. That doesn't happen at a pizza party."
