AAA Mountain West Group Builds 30 Kits for Two Causes

August 11, 2026 9AM to 4PM PT AAA Mountain West Group

AAA Mountain West Group built 30 Kynd Kits in person on August 11, supporting two causes at once: rescue dog care and back to school supplies for students. The kits included client-specific touches to mark the occasion.

How it worked

The team self-hosted the build, using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and printed kit instructions to run the session on their own. Each participant assembled individual kits from their own boxed kit, choosing between the Rescue Dog Care Package and the Back to School Backpack. A Project Helping program manager set up the program in advance, confirmed the timeline, and arranged customization on the kits before they shipped. Once the kits were finished, the team shipped them back to Project Helping using prepaid labels for distribution.

Finished kits go out through Project Helping’s nonprofit network, where the Rescue Dog Care Packages support shelter dogs waiting for homes and the Back to School Backpacks go to students who need supplies for the year ahead. Teams looking for a straightforward in-person build with two causes in one event can run a similar program.
