Allstate Builds 30 Food Insecurity Kynd Kits

August 18, 2026 Event length: 2 hours CT Allstate

Thirty Allstate volunteers spent two hours building 30 Kynd Kits addressing food insecurity. The team ran the session in person, with each volunteer assembling an individual kit.

How it worked

Allstate self-hosted the build using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and printed kit instructions, so no outside host was needed to run the session. A Project Helping program manager set up the program and made sure kits, materials, and instructions arrived ready to build. Once finished, the kits shipped back to Project Helping with prepaid labels for delivery to a nonprofit recipient.

The nonprofit recipient is still being confirmed. Once matched, the kits will go to people facing food insecurity, giving them practical support through a hands-on volunteer effort. Teams looking for a straightforward, self-hosted way to give back can run a similar program.
