Allstate held its Agent Conference in San Diego and set aside time for 655 Kynd Kits: 245 Heat Relief for the Unhoused, 175 Dignity Bag for the Unhoused, and 235 Wellness Kits for Allstate employees. Every kit was custom-branded for the conference.
How it worked
The build ran as a conference event, with kits built production-line style. Materials arrived in bulk rather than as individual boxed kits, and volunteers set up assembly lines where each station added one part. Because of the volume, the Heat Relief and Wellness Kit lines ran double-sided to keep the work moving. A Project Helping representative was on site in person to host the build, guiding the group through the cause behind each kit and the mechanics of the assembly line. Project Helping’s program manager handled the kit selection, custom branding, and shipping to the conference ahead of time, and arranged the details so the on-site build ran smoothly. Once the kits were finished, they shipped back to Project Helping using prepaid return labels rather than going out directly from the conference.

From here, Project Helping delivers the Heat Relief and Dignity Bag kits to nonprofit partners working with people experiencing homelessness, while the Wellness Kits go to Allstate employees. The Heat Relief and Dignity Bag kits give people living outside practical items for hard conditions and a reminder that someone thought of them directly. Companies planning a large conference with room for a hands-on build can put together a program like this one.
