Allstate Builds Back to School Backpacks in Chicago

September 1, 2026 Chicago, IL Allstate
#Corporate#In Person#Team Building

Forty Allstate volunteers gathered in Chicago, IL to build 40 Back to School Backpack kits for kids at Erie Neighborhood House.

How it worked

This was an in-person, self-hosted build. Each volunteer assembled an individual kit using the step-by-step instructions included in the box. A Project Helping program manager set up the program and confirmed details ahead of the event, and the kits arrived with everything volunteers needed to build. Project Helping had already found and confirmed Erie Neighborhood House as the recipient, so finished kits went straight from the event to the nonprofit. Allstate received an impact report after the build.

The backpacks now go to kids at Erie Neighborhood House heading back to school. Want to run something like this for your team? Reach out and we will help you get started.
