Allstate Volunteers Build 50 Kits for Hospital Families

August 31, 2026 Approx. 5:00 PM local start; 2 hours (end time TBD) Allstate — Boulder Marriott

23 volunteers from Allstate gathered for an in-person build to assemble 50 kits supporting parents of children being treated at Children’s Hospital Colorado. The two hour session gave the team a hands-on way to spend time together while building something for families going through a hard stretch.

How it worked

The team ran the session themselves, self-hosted, using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and the step-by-step instructions packed with each kit. Every volunteer worked from their own individual kit, assembling a complete Children’s Hospital Colorado Parent Support kit start to finish. A Project Helping program manager set up the program and confirmed the details ahead of time, and the kits arrived with everything needed to build. Once the kits were finished, the team shipped them back to Project Helping using prepaid labels, so no one had to arrange delivery to the hospital themselves.

Project Helping will deliver the finished kits to Children’s Hospital Colorado through its nonprofit network, where they will go to parents of children in treatment. If your team is looking for a straightforward way to spend an afternoon together while supporting a cause that matters, a Kynd Kit program can be set up in under three weeks.
