Amazon employees built 61 kits for patients at a Veterans Affairs Hospital during an in-person volunteer event. The kits were designed to bring comfort to veterans receiving care.
How it worked
The team ran the session self-hosted, using a Project Helping intro video to open the build before leading the rest themselves. Each volunteer assembled an individual kit from their own kit box, with no customization added. Project Helping’s program manager set up the program, coordinated shipping so every kit arrived ready to build, and included facilitator instructions with the kits. Once the build was finished, the team shipped the completed kits back to Project Helping using prepaid labels, and Project Helping handled getting them to the Veterans Affairs Hospital. Amazon also received an impact report after the event.
The finished kits now support veterans receiving hospital care, giving them something built with care during their treatment. If your team is looking for a straightforward way to give back, a Kynd Kit program can run just as easily, wherever your team is.
