Ardurra brought together its intern cohort for a virtual Kynd Kit build supporting four causes: Dignity Bag for the Unhoused, Toys for Shelter Animals, Youth Mental Health, and Environmental. The group built 91 kits in one hour, each customized with Ardurra-specific touches.
How it worked
Each participant received an individual kit shipped to their home, with everything needed to assemble it and step-by-step instructions included. A Project Helping host joined the video call to lead the group through the build, covering the causes behind each kit and the mental wellness side of volunteering. A Project Helping program manager set up the program in advance, coordinated kit customization, and arranged for finished kits to ship back to Project Helping with prepaid labels. Ardurra didn’t have to source materials, write instructions, or find a recipient. After the build, the team received an impact report.

The finished kits went back to Project Helping for delivery through its nonprofit network, reaching people and organizations across each of the four causes the interns built for. Companies looking to give new team members a shared, hands-on volunteer experience can run a program like this one.
