Aventiv brought a team together in person to build 26 Kynd Kits supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Each participant assembled their own kit from start to finish.
How it worked
The team ran the session themselves, using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and the step-by-step instructions included with every kit. Project Helping’s program manager set up the program in advance, arranged for the kits to arrive ready to build, and included prepaid labels so the finished kits could ship back once the session wrapped. Aventiv did not have to source materials, write instructions, or track down a nonprofit recipient.
Once the build was done, the 26 kits went back to Project Helping, which delivers finished kits to nonprofits in its recipient network. Those kits will reach members of the LGBTQIA+ community through that network. Any team looking for a straightforward, self-hosted way to give back can run a similar program.
