Citi Builds 100 Dignity Bags for the Unhoused

June 29, 2026 Citi

Citi employees gathered in person to build 100 Dignity Bags for people experiencing homelessness. Each participant assembled their own kit, working through the build together as one group.

How it worked

This was a self-hosted, in-person build. Citi’s team ran the session on their own using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and printed kit instructions, with each person building an individual kit start to finish. A Project Helping program manager set up the program in advance, confirmed the details, and arranged for the finished kits to ship back with prepaid labels. Everything the team needed to build, including instructions, arrived ready to go, so there was no extra planning required on Citi’s end.

Once the bags were finished, they went back to Project Helping for delivery to a nonprofit in its recipient network, where they will reach people experiencing homelessness with basic essentials and a bit of dignity. Citi’s team received an impact report afterward showing where their work landed. If your team is looking for a straightforward, self-hosted way to give back, a Kynd Kit build like this one is easy to set up and run.
