Citi Builds 100 Teen Mental Health Kits

June 24, 2026 Citi

Citi employees built 100 Kynd Kits supporting teen mental health during an in-person volunteer event. Each kit was assembled by an individual builder, ready to send on to a teen who needs the support.

How it worked

The team gathered in person and ran the build themselves, using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and the step-by-step instructions included in every kit. Each participant built a complete kit on their own, working through the materials at their own pace. Project Helping’s program manager set up the program details ahead of time and arranged for the kits to ship with everything needed to build, so the team could walk in and get started. Once the kits were finished, they were packed up and returned to Project Helping using prepaid shipping labels, no need to coordinate delivery on the Citi side.

From there, Project Helping delivers the kits to a nonprofit in its recipient network that supports teen mental health. Each kit gives a teen something concrete and thoughtful during a hard time. Teams looking for a self-hosted, in-person option can build their own program the same way.
