200 Intuit volunteers came together for an in-person build of 140 Youth Mental Health Kynd Kits. The kits are built to support young people’s mental wellness.
How it worked
The team ran the event self-hosted, using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and printed kit instructions to lead the build themselves. Because the kits were built production line style, materials arrived in bulk and volunteers set up an assembly line, with each station adding one part before passing it down. A Project Helping program manager set up the program in advance, confirmed the details, and arranged for the finished kits to go directly to a nonprofit partner that Project Helping had already matched to the cause. That meant the team didn’t have to source a recipient or handle distribution themselves. After the event, Intuit received an impact report on the build.
The finished kits went straight from the event to the nonprofit partner, so they could reach young people who need mental health support without delay. Any team looking to build a similar hands-on program, with kits built and delivered without the legwork, can run one of their own.
