Itron employees spent an hour building 50 Kynd Kits supporting LGBTQIA+ causes. The team worked together in person, assembling kits that carried custom touches specific to the program.
How it worked
The build ran as a Production Line, with materials arriving in bulk so the team could set up stations and each add one part to the kits as they moved down the line. A Project Helping representative was on site to facilitate the build from start to finish. A Project Helping program manager set up the program in advance, arranged the kit customization, and confirmed a nonprofit partner ahead of time so the finished kits could go straight from the event to that organization. Facilitator materials and kit instructions shipped with the kits, and Itron received an impact report after the event.
The 50 finished kits went directly to a nonprofit partner, supporting people connected to LGBTQIA+ causes. Teams looking for a way to build something meaningful together in an hour can run a program like this one.
