Kaiser Permanente Builds Kynd Kits at a Conference

June 18, 2026 10am - 1pm MT Kaiser Permanente, CO Springs

Kaiser Permanente, CO Springs built 20 Kynd Kits during a conference on June 18, 2026. The kits covered two causes: teen mental health and senior care.

How it worked

The build ran in person as part of the conference, with the team self-hosting using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and printed kit instructions. Each participant assembled an individual kit from their own kit. Project Helping’s program manager set up the program, coordinated kit selection and shipping, and arranged for the finished kits to ship back with prepaid labels. The team didn’t have to source materials, write instructions, or find a recipient. After the build, Kaiser Permanente received an impact report.

The finished kits went back to Project Helping, which delivers them to nonprofits in its recipient network. Teens receive mental health support, and seniors receive care packages. Any team looking to build something similar into a conference can run a program like this one.
