Klaviyo brought 60 volunteers together in person to build 65 Heat Relief for the Unhoused kits, supporting people experiencing homelessness.
How it worked
The team ran a self-hosted build, using a Project Helping intro video to open the session before getting to work. Materials arrived in bulk for a production line build, with volunteers setting up stations so each person added one part as kits moved down the line. The kits were not customized. Project Helping set up the program and confirmed the timeline, shipped everything needed for the build, and included a facilitator guide and printed instructions so the team could run the session on their own. Project Helping also identified and confirmed Pine Street Inn as the nonprofit recipient ahead of time, since Klaviyo did not have an existing relationship with the organization. Finished kits went straight from the event to Pine Street Inn, so no return shipping was needed.
The 65 finished kits give people experiencing homelessness supplies to help them stay warm and safe. If your team is looking for a hands-on way to support a cause you care about, a Kynd Kit program can be built around it.
