L3Harris Technologies employees built 40 Men’s Mental Health kits during an in-person volunteer session. The kits were built as individual kits, with each participant assembling their own from a boxed kit.
How it worked
The event was self-hosted, with the L3Harris Technologies team running the session using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and printed kit instructions. Before building, the group watched a Project Helping intro video to introduce the cause and the mental wellness side of volunteering. Project Helping handled the setup ahead of time, shipping all 40 kits with everything needed to build, so the team could focus on the work itself. Once finished, the kits were not returned to Project Helping. Instead, L3Harris Technologies distributed them directly to people in their own community.
The finished kits support men’s mental health, giving recipients something tangible built with care. Teams looking for a straightforward, self-hosted way to build something meaningful together can run a Kynd Kit program of their own.
