L3Harris Technologies Builds Comfort Bags for Families

June 24, 2026 L3Harris Technologies

L3Harris Technologies brought together a team to build 25 Ronald McDonald House Comfort Bags, a kit designed to bring comfort to families staying at Ronald McDonald House while a child receives medical care.

How it worked

The event ran in person and self-hosted, with the L3Harris Technologies team leading their own session using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and printed kit instructions. Each participant assembled an individual kit from their own boxed materials. Project Helping’s program manager set up the program, arranged shipping of all materials, and prepaid return labels so the finished bags could ship back once the build wrapped. The team also received an impact report afterward.

The finished comfort bags shipped back to Project Helping, where they were delivered to a nonprofit in the recipient network serving families at Ronald McDonald House. Each bag offers a small measure of comfort during a hard stretch. Teams looking for a straightforward, self-run project can build a similar program with Project Helping.
