Nine MathWorks employees spent an afternoon building Rescue Dog Care Package kits, an in-person Kynd Kit program supporting animal rescue efforts.
How it worked
A Project Helping representative was on site to host and facilitate the build from start to finish. Each participant assembled an individual kit from their own kit box, with no customization involved. Project Helping’s program manager set up the program, arranged shipping of all materials, and coordinated the nonprofit partner ahead of time, so the MathWorks team only had to show up and build. Once finished, the kits went directly to the nonprofit partner, with no shipping or handling required from the team.
The finished Rescue Dog Care Packages went straight to a nonprofit partner working with rescue dogs, giving them supplies to help care for animals waiting for homes. Teams looking for a simple, hands-on way to give back can run a program like this one.
