Twenty Merck employees came together in person to build Kynd Kits supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. The team ran the session themselves, using a Project Helping intro video to kick things off before getting to work.
How it worked
This was a self-hosted, in-person build. Each participant assembled an individual kit from their own kit materials, following the step-by-step instructions included with every kit. Project Helping set up the program, shipped the kits, and provided the intro video and facilitator materials so Merck could run the build on its own. Once the kits were finished, they shipped back to Project Helping with prepaid labels for delivery to a nonprofit in Project Helping’s recipient network.
The finished kits will reach people in the LGBTQIA+ community through Project Helping’s nonprofit network. Teams looking for a simple, self-hosted way to give back can run a Kynd Kit program of their own.
