MetLife brought together 13 volunteers for an in-person build of Toys for Shelter Animals kits, giving animals waiting for adoption something to play with while they wait for a home.
How it worked
The team built individual kits, with each volunteer assembling their own complete kit at the table. The session was self-hosted, and the group played a Project Helping intro video to kick things off before getting to work. Project Helping shipped all the kits and materials ahead of time, so everything volunteers needed was ready to go. Once the kits were finished, MetLife shipped them back to Project Helping using prepaid labels for delivery into the nonprofit network.
The finished toys will go to shelter animals through Project Helping’s nonprofit network. Teams looking for a simple, one-hour in-person project can run a build like this one.
