OpenLoop Health Builds Comfort Bags at Conference

August 19, 2026 12:00-1:00pm CT OpenLoop Health

OpenLoop Health employees built 20 Ronald McDonald House Comfort Bags during a conference on August 19, 2026. The one-hour session gave attendees a hands-on break to build kits for families staying at Ronald McDonald House while a child is in the hospital.

How it worked

The build ran as part of the conference, self-hosted using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and printed kit instructions. Each participant assembled an individual kit at their own seat. Project Helping’s program manager set up the program in advance, shipped the kits with everything needed to build, and arranged prepaid return shipping. After the event, finished kits went back to Project Helping for delivery through its nonprofit network, and OpenLoop Health received an impact report.

Each Comfort Bag gives a family something steady during a hard stretch in the hospital. Any company running a conference can build the same kind of break into the day.
