Prudential employees came together virtually on July 15, 2026, to build 73 Back to School Backpack kits. Each kit was built to help a student start the school year with the supplies they need.
How it worked
The event ran virtually, with individual kits shipped to each participant’s home ahead of the build. A Project Helping host led the session by video call, walking the team through the cause and the kit as everyone built at their own station. A Project Helping program manager set up the program, coordinated kit shipping to each address, and included step-by-step instructions with every kit. Once the backpacks were built, participants shipped their finished kits back to Project Helping using prepaid return labels.
The 73 finished Back to School Backpack kits went to Project Helping’s nonprofit network for distribution to students who need school supplies. Prudential’s team received an impact report after the event. Any team looking for a simple way to give back from home, wherever employees are located, can run a virtual Kynd Kit program like this one.
