Robert Half brought together 20 kits built for LGBTQIA+ support in a hybrid volunteer event on June 18, 2026. Some team members built together in person while others joined from home, each assembling individual kits at their own workstation or kitchen table.
How it worked
The team self-hosted the build using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and the step-by-step instructions included with every kit. Project Helping’s program manager set up the program and confirmed details ahead of the event, and kits arrived with everything needed to build, whether at the office or at home. Once finished, the kits shipped back to Project Helping using prepaid return labels.
Project Helping will deliver the finished kits to a nonprofit in its recipient network, where they will reach people who need LGBTQIA+ support. Teams looking for a flexible way to combine in-office and remote volunteers can run a program like this one.
