Salesforce brought together volunteers for an in-person build supporting two causes at once: senior care and foster youth. The team built 30 kits, split between Senior Care Packages and Sensory Kits for Foster Youth, each customized with Salesforce-specific touches.
How it worked
The team ran the session self-hosted, using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and step-by-step kit instructions. Each volunteer assembled individual kits from their own boxed materials. Project Helping’s program manager set up the program, coordinated the customization details, and arranged everything so the kits arrived ready to build. Once finished, the kits shipped back to Project Helping with prepaid labels for delivery to nonprofits in the recipient network.
The finished kits will reach seniors and foster youth through Project Helping’s nonprofit network, offering comfort and support to people who need it. Teams looking to run something similar can build their own program just as easily.
