Samsung Electronics brought together volunteers for an in-person build supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Over the course of an hour, the team assembled 50 Kynd Kits.
How it worked
Each participant built an individual kit from their own kit, working through the steps together. A Project Helping representative was on site to lead the build, walking the team through the cause and the kit itself. Project Helping’s program manager set up the program, arranged shipping to the event, and confirmed the timeline in advance, so the Samsung Electronics team only had to show up and build. Once the kits were finished, they were packed up and returned to Project Helping using prepaid labels for distribution through Project Helping’s nonprofit network.
The finished kits will reach members of the LGBTQIA+ community through that network. Teams looking for an easy, guided in-person build can put together a similar program with Project Helping.
