Sanofi Builds 400 Back to School Backpacks at Conference

June 24, 2026 9am-4pm CT Sanofi

Sanofi brought Kynd Kits into a conference, where 600 volunteers built 400 Back to School Backpacks over the course of the day. The kits give kids heading back to school the supplies they need for the year ahead.

How it worked

The build ran as part of the conference schedule, with a Project Helping Host on site in person to lead the session from start to finish. Instead of individual boxed kits, materials arrived in bulk for a production line build. Volunteers set up assembly stations, and each station added one part of the backpack as it moved down the line, a setup built for a group this size working through 400 kits in a single day.

Project Helping handled the logistics behind the event. A program manager set up the program, selected the kit, and coordinated the shipment of bulk materials to the conference. The Project Helping representative on site ran the build in person, so volunteers could focus on assembling backpacks rather than managing instructions or setup. Distribution was also arranged ahead of time, with finished kits going direct to a nonprofit partner that Project Helping matched to the program. After the event, Sanofi received an impact report on the build.

The finished backpacks went straight from the conference to the nonprofit partner Project Helping lined up in advance, giving kids in the program supplies for the school year without any extra shipping or handling on Sanofi’s end. A conference is a natural place to fit a volunteer build like this one. Any team weighing a conference activity can run a Kynd Kit program of its own.
