Slalom Builds 50 Chemo Care Kits in Production Line Event

Slalom, Inc. brought together 25 volunteers for an in-person build on July 21, 2026, producing 50 Chemo Care kits for people going through chemo.

How it worked

The team used a production line build: materials arrived in bulk, and volunteers set up stations where each person added one part to the kits as they moved down the line. A Project Helping representative was on site in person to lead the build from start to finish. A Project Helping program manager set up the program details ahead of time, and the kits shipped with everything needed for the build. Once finished, the kits went back to Project Helping with prepaid return labels, and Slalom, Inc. received an impact report afterward.

The finished Chemo Care kits will reach people going through chemo through Project Helping’s nonprofit network. Each one is a small, tangible bit of comfort for someone in treatment. Any team looking to run a similar build, in one place or spread across offices, can set one up in a few weeks.
