A Target store team came together in person to build 100 Career Readiness kits. The kits support people working toward their next job.
How it worked
The kits shipped as a group order directly to the store. The team ran the build themselves, self-hosted, with each person assembling an individual kit using the instructions included in the box. Project Helping arranged the shipping and prepared the kits ahead of time so the team could start building as soon as they arrived. Once the build was done, the finished kits shipped back to Project Helping with prepaid labels for distribution.
From there, Project Helping delivers the kits to a nonprofit in its recipient network that supports career readiness. Each kit gives someone practical tools for the job search ahead. Teams looking for a straightforward, in-person project can run something similar.
