Twilio hosted a small in-person build to put together 5 College Preparation Support kits, each one meant to help a student get ready for the next step after high school.
How it worked
The team ran the session themselves, self-hosted, using Project Helping’s facilitator guide and step-by-step kit instructions. Each volunteer assembled a complete kit from their own individual box. A Project Helping program manager set up the program and had it confirmed within a day, and the kits arrived with everything needed to build, along with a prepaid label to send the finished kits back. Twilio’s team just showed up and built.
Once finished, the kits shipped back to Project Helping, where they go out to nonprofits in Project Helping’s recipient network. Each one gives a student heading toward college a little more support for what comes next. If your team is looking for an easy way to give back in person, a Kynd Kit program can be built around a group any size.
