On April 24th, 2025, our community shined brighter than ever at Project Helping’s 11th Annual Limelight Fundraiser, held at Denver’s beautiful Wellshire Event Center. We’re thrilled to announce that, together, we raised an incredible $140,000 to directly support mental wellness and expand access to meaningful volunteer experiences. Thank you for making this our most successful Limelight yet!

Celebrating Our 2025 Awardees
This year, we proudly honored three outstanding Limelight Award recipients whose commitment inspires us all. Our 2025 awardees were recognized for their outstanding work in mental health awareness and stigma reduction.

Nonprofit Spotlight Award: Urban Peak
Urban Peak has shown inspiring leadership in supporting Denver’s youth facing homelessness. Their holistic approach and unwavering advocacy for vulnerable young people embody the spirit of community collaboration. Special thanks to Marnie Cooke, Director of Development, for accepting this year’s award on behalf of Urban Peak. Having worked in the nonprofit, for-profit and public sectors, Marnie demonstrates her expertise in development, strategy and project management at Urban Peak.

Corporate Spotlight Award: Northrop Grumman
Northrop Grumman, our Title Sponsor, continually demonstrates what it means to lead by example in corporate citizenship. Their “Volunteer Challenge” mobilizes employees to reach 150,000 volunteer hours nationwide this year—an extraordinary commitment to giving back. Special thanks to Pablo Pezzimenti, Northrop Grumman’s Vice President, for championing this local partnership and community impact and for accepting this year’s award on Northrop Grumman’s behalf.
Individual Spotlight Award: Molly Mitchell

Molly Mitchell is a professional rock climber currently residing in Denver, Colorado. In 2019, she became the 7th woman in the world to climb a 5.14 rated traditional climb. In 2020, Molly broke her back in a thirty foot groundfall while attempting an all gear ascent of the dangerous climb, “Crank It,” in Boulder Canyon. After recovering, she returned to complete this climb in 2022, becoming one of very few people and the first woman to do so.
A documentary was recently released detailing Molly’s career in climbing, her accident and redemption with “Crank It,” as well as her struggles and experience with mental health. Molly is very open about her lifelong journey with mental health and uses her platform to raise awareness and speak out about it. Molly’s dedication to community mental health has impacted countless lives. Her volunteerism, compassion, and advocacy have made her a cornerstone in the Project Helping family.
