March means MASSIVE Impact

Volunteer experiences made a difference in the community and on their own mental wellness this month.

March means massive impact at Project Helping. At the end of March, we’ll have hosted 13 volunteer experiences in two different states. Over 115 volunteers participated. Equally important, these volunteer experiences expanded our kindfulness footprint!

We’re back at A Precious Child this month with TWO volunteer experiences at their warehouse in Broomfield.

Volunteer Experiences at Precious Child

A Precious Child devotes time to making a positive impact in the lives of disadvantaged and displaced families in Colorado.

They provide basic essentials to children in need to empower them to succeed in school. Our volunteers helped organize inventory, sort, and hang incoming donations. They prepare all of these items for the Store Floor in the Resource Center.

We are continuing our partnership hosting volunteer events on the third Friday of every month through the rest of the year!

On March 11, we had 5 volunteers doing some kind things at San Diego Rescue Mission!Volunteer Experiences at San Diego Rescue Mission

The Mission is not only committed to assisting the homeless in San Diego but also to transition out of an environment of poverty.

Our volunteers served lunch to the homeless men staying at the Mission. Not to mention, they thoroughly enjoyed their experience!

Saturday, March 25 was pretty busy with an event in Denver at Baby Haven and in San Diego at Guymon Arms Open Space!

Baby Haven is a Childcare Center where our volunteers paint and clean. Their effort brings Baby Haven up to meet the Colorado Shines rating standard for child care centers. This time is invaluable to the staff, in addition to the parents of the kids who attend Baby Haven!

The Guymon Arms open space in San Diego is in terrible condition.  Our volunteers cleaned up man-made debris and, in the long run, helped restore the land to its natural beauty. We got our hands dirty!

Most of all, these volunteer experiences are intentionally designed to improve mental wellness and the community. First, we get our hands dirty. Next, we witness the results. Then, we enjoy the time spent in the community and the direct impact on our mental wellness. Join us as we continue this journey!
