Ashlee has a passion for helping others and volunteerism. It wasn’t until she met her husband, Justin Kruger, that she understood helping others has just as much of a positive effect on the volunteer as it does for the beneficiary. So, supporting her husband’s idea to create and grow a non-profit with this exact concept at its core framed as a mental wellness organization was a “no-brainer”. She knew the financial sacrifice of him quitting his corporate job and starting Project Helping just had to happen, somehow, some way…and they’ve never looked back.
Ashlee is a Colorado native and graduated from Regis University with a degree in Communication as well as Denver University with a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution. Her husband jokes he’s yet to win an argument in over ten years. When she’s not working, she’s busy running a household with four kids and three fur babies. She loves when the kids go out and volunteer and learn the value of hard work by helping in the Kynd Kit fulfillment center. She enjoys volunteering, gardening, playing games with the kids, cooking secret healthy meals disguised as comfort food, and she hopes to soon become an avid fly fisherman. Ashlee recently joined the Project Helping team full time and is excited for this new chapter.
