Dena is passionate about building innovative mental health initiatives that empower communities and individuals to thrive. With a Master’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration, she combines clinical expertise with a strategic mindset to create meaningful, sustainable access to mental health services. As the Director of the Mental Wellness Program, Dena leads with creativity and compassion—connecting people to vital mental health resources while fostering a supportive and inclusive team culture.
Having started her journey with the Mental Wellness Program as a graduate student intern in 2013, Dena has grown to become an invaluable part of the program’s mission, working alongside an exceptional team. When not advocating for mental wellness, you’ll find Dena engaging in Acudetox sessions, teaching social work students, cuddling with her dogs Yeti and Turbo, or spending time with family.
