Originally from East Tennessee, Mike Reisinger is an educator, songwriter, performer, author, poet and plant lover with a passion for fostering relationships between our seniors and our local communities. He has been residing in Alamosa County in the San Luis Valley for the past seven years, where he currently serves as the RSVP Outreach Coordinator for Spark.
Holding an MA in education with a specialization in literacy from Regis University in Denver, and a BA in Spanish and English from Northern Arizona University, Mike passionately taught elementary students in the Denver metro area and in the San Luis Valley in a variety of communities and settings. Mike changed his career in 2020 to specialize in event facilitation & promotion, community engagement & partnering as the Marketing and Events Director with the Alamosa County Chamber, where he is also employed.
Having served as an AmeriCorps Volunteer in Flagstaff, Arizona during his undergraduate studies as well as volunteering for various local Alamosa non profit organizations, Mike knows the value of volunteerism and is excited to be part of the RSVP Spark team and looks forward to uniting his local connections and experiences in Alamosa County with the RSVP Spark program.
