Nancy hails from California, but has been living in Colorado since 2010. She now resides in Alamosa, where she serves as the RSVP Manager for Alamosa County through Spark. She received a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and an MA in Art History from UC Santa Barbara. But so much of the skills and knowledge she brings to her work with AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers comes from her connections and experiences living in the San Luis Valley. Nancy loves her community and the amazing people there who are dedicated to making Alamosa and the San Luis Valley a wonderful place to live and work. Nancy is also the Executive Director for the Alamosa Live Music Association and has a deep appreciation for live music. She creates complex and playful abstract mixed-media collages in her spare time. And, she shares her home with her husband, Alex, and five indoor kitties, plus a handful of outdoor cats.
