Hello! I am Rachel King, a MSW graduate from Simmons University. During my graduate program, I completed my clinical field placement with an organization focused on the needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals, as I am a passionate community member and advocate. Folding my clinical experience into my position as Spark’s newest Supervision and Workforce Development Manager, I am focused on integrating thoughtful empathy into process development. I am keenly connected to the needs and experiences of social workers and their efforts towards degree acquisition and clinical candidacy and aim to impart my clinical education into mezzo level efforts to support my clinical colleagues.
In my work with Spark, I seek out experienced MSW professionals and clinical care providers to volunteer as supervisors for the next generation of mental health practitioners. I enjoy building relationships with Spark’s volunteers and appreciate the opportunity to support anyone who is working to make this world a better place. Additionally, I am honored to participate in the Mental Wellness Task Force of Southern Colorado, as well as spearhead continuing education initiatives through the SparKnowledge program. Let’s leverage our collective strengths to make a difference together!
