Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)

Spark's RSVP program connects adults 55+ with meaningful volunteer opportunities that improve rural communities — and support your own health and well-being across Southern Colorado.

RSVP Service Areas
Alamosa County San Luis Valley region
Huerfano & Las Animas Counties Southern Peaks region
Montezuma County Four Corners region
Powered by AmeriCorps Seniors
Spark's RSVP program is funded by AmeriCorps Seniors' Retired and Senior Volunteer Program — one of the largest national service volunteer efforts in the nation for people aged 55 and better.
Why It Matters

Older adults have so much to give.

At Spark, we believe that folks aged 55 and up have so much to contribute to their communities through volunteer engagement. Rural seniors often have significantly worse mental and physical health outcomes than their urban counterparts — but volunteering can help.

We connect older adults with volunteer opportunities that make a difference in their area, while helping them stay engaged and healthy.

Supports Mental Wellness
Regular volunteering reduces isolation, boosts purpose, and supports positive mental health outcomes for older adults.
Improves Physical Health
Staying active and engaged through service is linked to better physical health outcomes for rural seniors.
Strengthens Your Community
Your service addresses real local needs in Southern Colorado's rural counties.
Mileage & Meal Reimbursements
Some opportunities include stipends and mileage reimbursements so cost is never a barrier to serving.
