Let's Start Volunteering!

There are step-by-step directions below to complete your Kynd Kit. If you have any questions during your build, there is a live chat in the corner of the screen.

Write a Note to the Recipient and Decorate the Envelope

Use the enclosed materials to write a card and decorate the envelope. Express your encouragement and include a hopeful message.

DIY Affirmation Cards

Write a special affirmation message on each card. Loop the piece of string through the hole punched cards and tie a knot to secure them together.

Surprise Kyndness

Decorate the outside of the journal with a picture or uplifting message. Use random pages in the journal to write short uplifting messages, draw small colorful images, or create fun writing prompts for the recipient.

DIY Magnets

Decorate each square card using crayons, colored pencils, or permanent markers. Do not use washable markers or whiteboard markers, it will rub off.

Coffee Mug

Using paint pens, decorate the mug. Write a message or draw something. Get creative! After you’re done decorating, place the mug in the oven before preheating. Then, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Once preheated, set timer for 30 min. Once the time is over, turn off your oven and let the mug cool off inside for an additional 30 min before taking it out.

WARNING: Mug may be hot. Use caution when removing!

Mini White Board

Stick the white 5×8 stickers to the back of the whiteboard. Use the crayons, colored pencils, or paint pens to decorate the stickers with an uplifting message or picture for the teacher to look at while using the board with students.
