We believe that everyone should have tools to build their mental well-being, and volunteerism is one of the best tools available. We provide meaningful, social, and accessible volunteer experiences to do just that – to build the mental well-being of the volunteer, no matter where your mental wellness is currently. We ask that you participate in our volunteer experiences with an awareness of the positive impact these events have on your mental wellness.
You must be signed up for a volunteer event before requesting transportation assistance. If you have not signed up yet, please visit our volunteer page to find an event that works for you! Once requested, we will send you an email letting you know if we can help with your transportation needs.
Note: Project Helping has allocated a budget to assist our volunteers with transportation. These requests are on a first come, first served basis until the funds are used for the month.
If you don’t show up for the events you’ve signed up for, or don’t give proper cancellation notice, we will not provide transportation assistance to you in the future. We understand things happen and we want you to have the best experience possible, so just let us know if you can’t make it.
Project Helping adheres to the following guidelines when deciding whether or not to approve a request:
The volunteer regularly shows up to events they sign up for.
The volunteer’s pick-up address is within 15 miles of the volunteer experience location.
The volunteer is attending a Do Good or Feel Good event.
