Pack Food for Families in Need with Project Helping

The mission of Food For Thought is the elimination of weekend hunger in Denver’s Title 1 elementary schools. Each PowerSack has 9-13 items, enough to feed a family of four 2 meals over the weekend. FFT targets schools where 90% or more of the students are eligible for free and reduced lunch programs (income of a family of four is less than $29K/year to qualify). By providing a Powersack to each child in the school each week, they work to assure…
