Gratitude Practice

Let's start by taking a moment to practice gratitude.
  • What is something that made you smile today?
  • What is something that you learned from your first job that you are grateful for and why?

The Recipient

This kit is specifically designed to benefit a nonprofit called Wo Ye Bra. The founder, Adrienne, visited Ghana in 2016 and realized there was a need for help with girls and their menstrual cycle. Many girls missed school during their menstrual cycle because they lacked adequate sanitary supplies. In 2017 she started the Wo Ye Bra Program by training 20 women how to make and sell reusable (washable) sanitary pads. They provided each woman with a free sewing machines, fabric, sewing tools, training by local seamstresses, meals, transportation expenses, and micro-funding. As of January 2020, they have created 100 women entrepreneurs in Ghana and Sierra Leone who are sustaining themselves and their families as a result of our program. Additionally, they have donated over a thousand sanitary pads so girls can remain in school during their menstrual cycle.

The Reason

Create a kit to support the mission of Wo Ye Bra by providing and personalizing items for women in their journey to become entrepreneurs.
